Heart Posters You Can Like from Simon Page

So its Valentines Day, and as every graphic designer knows, you put your heart, soul, blood, sweat, and tears into your designs that you love so much.  Every piece of work you do is your baby, your baby that you produce and put out there for the world to see and appreciate, though sometimes not everyone sees it the way you do.

Valentines Day is the time to love your designs as they are, whatever the internet or clients have to say about them.   These posters from Simon Page seemed fitting for today.

Reader Submission of the Week: Sean Mort (UK)

Hailing from the UK, this week's reader submission is a 28 year old graphic designer from Manchester.  Sean Mort designs and screenprints some pretty cool posters, his most recent work at the top looking really solid.  Visit his website for more, and his online store as well to purchase some prints.  Thanks to Gavin Cannon for sending us the tip on Twitter!

New lesson learned:  you can get featured here on the blog without sending the work yourself -- as long as a kind friend or stranger manages to send some of your cool designs our way at @FlyerGoodness or at flyergoodness@gmail.com

Reader S.O.W -- Peter Dyer

I know, I know--we've been slow in going through our Reader Submissions and would like to take this time to thank everyone that has sent in work for the blog.  Right now keeping the blog going strong is a priority, though having just finished school I am trying to to allocate my time appropriately towards getting a career going in a job market thats seen better days, hence the reduced activity in the twitter feed and slow responses to submissions, so I apologize for that.

I've really been thinking that while being surrounded by such great work from current and past graphic designers and artists, we should really take the time every once in a while to give a high five to those that are starting up or don't have as much exposure.  Everyone deserves a break at least once, and I figure that with all of this social media and blogging and online portfolio sharing we are able to make that happen.  Here are some posters from Peter Dyer from Cornwall, UK, this weeks Reader SOW.

Cheers to the weekend.

Simplicity is Bold by Ross Gunter

A very well done set of poster series titled 'Bridging the Gap" is a personal project by Ross Gunter for a night club in London.  Its not often that you come across club promotional posters like these, as Ross emphasizes on simple bold and attractive designs inspired from old international typographic style and old letraset catalogs and cassette tape covers.  The linear layout and spacing between text is just pretty amazing.

Reader S.O.W -- Ian Percival

Penguin Book tribute film covers from Ian Percival, this week's Reader Submission Of the Week from Leicester, UK. I thought he was really able to capture that classic feel and harness it in recreating his own works--a prime example of inspiration at its best.

Brilliant Tyographic Posters by London Design Studio "I Love Dust"

I Love Dust is a design boutique in East London that is packed with amazing talent and designs.  You might have seen a lot of their stuff on FFFFound, as they have a fantastic eye for playing with typography in all sorts of uncoventional, eye-popping ways.  I had a hard time going through their site to choose some favorites for this post, so I highly recommend going over to see all of the amazing eye candy that they've worked on.
